Capital Lighting & Supply Awards Contract for the Design & Install of the Material Handling Systems for New CDC

Alexandria , VA. - Capital Lighting & Supply (CLS), a subsidiary of Sonepar USA has awarded a contract for the design and installation of the racking, shelving, conveyor, and other material handling systems to be used in the new Central Distribution Center located in Upper Marlboro, MD.

The Warehouse Products Division of Eastern Lift Truck is partnering with Conveyor Handling Co., Vertispace (all three of Maryland), Rousseau Metals, and Unarco Material Handling, Inc., to handle the project. Eastern Lift Truck will provide integration, project management, coordination, and installation services. Conveyor Handling is providing the conveyor systems, design services, and conveyor installation. Vertispace is providing the structural mezzanine and installation assistance. Rousseau Metals is providing the mezzanine shelving systems and Unarco is providing the racking systems.

CLS has also selected Graham International to provide wire cutting racking systems. These racks will be integrated using Unarco racking products and installed by Eastern Lift Truck.

The new CLS CDC is scheduled to open for operation in the spring of 2008.
